Adedoja submits guber nomination form

Former Minister of Sports and Special Duties, Taoheed Adedoja, one of the 13 governorship aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has submitted his governorship nomination form, which he obtained about a fortnight ago.
Submitting the form at the party’s National Headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Zone 5, Abuja, the professor of education reiterated his commitment to the emancipation of the people of Oyo State, using his experience as an academic, administrator and politician.
Adedoja expressed his determination to bring about positive change, to improve life of the people of Oyo, if voted to power in 2015.
He also promised to run a humane government that would take care of the needs and aspirations of the masses.

“We are aware that the people of the state are eagerly waiting for us to take over leadership in the state because of the terrible experience they have been subjected to in almost four years, and we cannot afford to let them down,” he said.
Meanwhile, the verdict of the party’s appeal panel, which considered the grievances of aggrieved governorship aspirants, including Adedoja, over the recent ward congress in the state, was still being awaited.
While the appeal panel was leaving Oyo State on Monday, after taking both oral and written petitions from seven of the aspirants, the panel chairman, Alphonsus Nwosu, promised that the report would be out in 48 hours.
However, at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the National Working Committee of the PDP was still trying to come up with an acceptable report to most of the aspirants, some of who were said to have relocated to the Federal Capital Territory to see things for themselves.
