I’ll industrialise Akwa Ibom, if elected gov – Esuh

A gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Peter Esuh, has promised to make Akwa Ibom a one-capital state and erase all traces of ethnic divisions in the state.
This is as he has identified imbalance in infrastructural development as the cause of rancour, ethnic bigotry and division, hence the need to update the status of every rural community in the state to make life better in all parts of the state.

In an interaction with newsmen in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on Tuesday, Esuh, a university don cum politician, pledged to harness the enormous economic potential of the state as well as embark of intellectual research to purposefully direct development.
“I thank all the past governors and administrators who took turns to change the state, beginning from Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga, who took nine months to do great things in the state, and Obong Akpan Isemin, who eliminated the small syndrome from the minds of the people. I thank Obong Victor Attah, who laid the foundation for Infrastructure and resources. To me, he is the father of modern resource control. And to Akpabio, for his uncommon transformation,” he said.
Esuh said his governorship aspiration is encapsulated in a nine-point agenda: institutionalisation of the fear of God, qualitative and vocational-directed education, produce-based agriculture, and productive health care system/social security policy, among others.
