INEC Begins Distribution of 4.7 Million PVCs in Kano

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Kano office, on Friday began the distribution of permanent voters’ cards (PVC’s) across the 44 council areas of the state.


The state government also declared Friday as a work-free day to enable the civil servants participate in the exercise to revalidate their temporary voters’ cards and be issued the permanent voters card at their polling units.
Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, in a broadcast to the people of the state, tasked them to cooperate with INEC and revalidate their cards.
The exercise in Kano witnessed massive turnout from the people, while markets and other commercial areas were shut down to allow people participate.
