The impression being created in some circles that the members of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State, chapter of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) are part of the on-going industrial action by the Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP) has been described as erroneous.
This clarification was made by the UCH chapter of MDCAN in a release signed by the General Secretary, Victor Makanjuola, in Ibadan Monday.
The NUAHP commenced an industrial action on the October 16 over unresolved issues it has with the Federal Government, which has resulted in minimal disruption of services so far in most public health facilities, as reported by national dailies.
The association noted that its attention had been drawn to the misinformation about the group of health workers actually on strike.
