Nigeria: TAN Welcomes Babangida Back Home

The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) has welcomed the former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, back to the country after a successful medical trip to Germany.
The TAN's Director of Public Communications and Strategy, Dr. Udenta Udenta, who spoke with journalists at the corporate headquarters of the political advocacy group, thanked God for the life and good health of the ex-leader who served Nigeria meritoriously in different capacities.
The group noted that the former head of state had been carrying himself with deep humility and quiet attitude as a statesman, contrary to some others who carry on like lords.
It noted that Babangida had continued with an admirable candour and disposition of a worthy father and elder statesman.

It called on other leaders to emulate Babangida popular called IBB who has been quietly contributing his quota towards the national development since he left office with admirable disposition, noting that nation-building is a collective responsibility.
TAN said it was gratifying that IBB returned to the country at a time when the nation is gearing up for another round of general election scheduled for early next year and that it is expected that the former head of state would use his wealth of experience to mobilise for the incumbent president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, who last weekend heeded the patriotic call of the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) and other millions of Nigerians who passionately appealed to him to seek a renewal of his mandate because he had justified the confidence reposed in him in his first mandate.
It expressed its preparedness to spearhead the election campaigns of Jonathan whom it noted had out performed all of his predecessors in their first tenure through the instrumentality of his novel transformation agenda.
