Why I can’t run for Senate – Adegbuyi

Despite pleas by the people of Ogun East Senatorial District that he should represent them at the National Assembly come 2015, a legal practitioner, Bisi Adegbuyi has given reasons why he could not heed the clarion call.
Adegbuyi, who was a delegate to the recently concluded National Conference told Daily Independent on Thursday that, inasmuch as he appreciated the concern of his people, the politics in Ogun would make it difficult for him to signify his interest in the race.

He listed some of the factors militating against him as his birthplace, lack of access to illegal funds and the tyranny of the majority.
“The political permutations do not favour me to run for Senate basically because of my place of birth; lack of access to slush funds coupled with the tyranny of the majority,” he stated.
