CLEVELAND, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Federal and local aviation experts in Ohio were investigating a business jet crash that killed as many as nine people, and were expected to provide an update later on Wednesday, fire officials said.
Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board as well as Akron police were at the site where the 10-passenger Hawker H25 business jet struck an apartment building on Tuesday while approaching the Akron Fulton airport.

They were due to brief the media at noon (1700 GMT), Akron Fire Inspector Sierjie Lash said.
The jet's wing clipped electrical power lines and crashed through the 4-unit apartment block, eventually stopping on an embankment, Lash said. Nobody was in the building when it was engulfed in flames, Lash added.
The exact death toll was not yet clear.
Ohio State Patrol spokesman Bill Haymaker said the pilot and co-pilot as well as an unknown number of passengers were killed.
The aircraft's owner, Pebb Enterprises of Boca Raton, Florida, said seven employees of the real estate firm died.
Local media reports said as many as nine people were killed, citing unnamed police sources.
The National Transportation Safety Board was heading the investigation, FAA spokesman Tony Molinaro said. (Editing by Scott Malone and Frances Kerry)
