Aivoji sues for peace in Lagos PDP guber race

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism in Lagos State, Hon. Phillip Aivoji, has advised all PDP governorship aspirants in the state to emulate the national leadership of the party by peacefully resolving the issue of who emerges the flagbearer of the party in the 2015 Lagos State governorship race.
Aivoji, who said this in a statement made available to Saturday Independent said better understanding and cooperation among all the aspirants would further enhance the chances of the party winning the 2015 governorship election in Lagos State.

The former chairman of Badagry Local Government further stated that the benefits inherent in the existence of a cordial relationship among the aspirants were enormous, especially in the quest to build a virile and formidable alternative to the present government in the state, adding that with the collective efforts of the aspirants, the attainment of an articulate strategy to wrestle the state from the All Progressives Congress (APC) were achievable.
He enjoined the aspirants to ensure the existence of better understanding and cooperation between them, stating that the available political appointments in the state were enough for all the local government areas to have a fair share in the government if the aspirants and the followers join hands together to deliver the state from the APC.
While commending the Lagos State leadership of the party for its tenacity of purpose and unblinking determination to win the forthcoming governorship election, Aivoji noted that the only factor that can ensure the realisation of this dream was the peaceful co-existence of all the PDP governorship aspirants and their followers in the state.
The PDP chieftain appealed for the people’s continued loyalty and support for the party to form the government in Lagos State in 2015, urging the PDP members to channel all resources towards the party’s growth and keep up their level of dedication to the task of wining the forthcoming election.
He noted that all PDP governorship aspirants were leaders of proven integrity, track record and broad experience in their respective field of endeavours, assuring that he and other leaders of the party were determined to provide a level playing ground for all aspirants to excel in their determination to govern the State of Excellence from 2015.
Aivoji, therefore, called on all PDP members in the state to show concern for the need to take over the reins of leadership in the administration of the state in 2015 and support whoever emerges the party’s gubernatorial flagbearer for the election, more so that the PDP controlled government in Lagos State would not only make life more meaningful to the people but also do the state proud by bringing about the much expected accelerated development in agriculture, education, health services, employment, security, road construction and other social services.
