Diamond Bank promo kicks off

One of the leading retail banks in Nigeria, Diamond Bank has launched the Season 7 of the DiamondXtra Reward Scheme where 25 winners have already emerged at the event which took place in Lagos on Friday .

DiamondXtra Account is a special savings account designed for individuals who want to build up their savings gradually. It is an interest-yielding savings account which allows the deposit of both cash and third party cheques. In addition, the account holders receive a cheque book and a debit card with which they can withdraw from their account at any Diamond Bank branch. It is a simple and straightforward savings account that comes with a low minimum opening amount of N5,000 with the opportunity to win fantastic prizes.

Since the inception of the DiamondXtra reward scheme seven years ago, over N4 billion has been given away to over 4,000 customers.

According to the Group Managing Director, Diamond Bank Plc, Uzoma Dozie the new DiamondXtraseason 7 is considered unique because provisions have been made to accommodate more stakeholders as we have introduced special draws for the Diamond woman.

He said: “In this Season 7, DiamondXtra Customers will have another reason to smile as a total of 1,439 customers will win various cash prizes. Prizes will range from N250,000 to N2,000,000 cash prizes plus the star prize of “Salary for Life”. Salary $Life is a unique prize of the DiamondXtra account which the Bank pays the sum of N100,000 to a lucky customer every month for 20 years.”

Speaking further on the reward scheme, Head, Retail Financial Services, Diamond Bank Plc, , Ms. Aishah Ahmad explained that in addition to the regular weekly and monthly draws, there will also be three special draws this season to commemorate special events or as determined by the bank. In each of the special draws, 25 customers will be rewarded with N1m each.

She said: “TO celebrate the launch of Season 7, we are excited to announce that one of the special draws will hold today where 25 of our loyal customers will be rewarded with N1miliion each. The most exciting thing about the DiamondXtra reward scheme is that everybody has a chance of winning as all you need to do to qualify for the draws is to have a minimum balance of N5,000 in your DiamondXtra account.”

The draws are conducted through an electronic process approved by the National Lottery & Regulatory Commission and the Consumer Protection Council and which is also verified by the renowned auditing firm, KPMG Professional Services. Every N5,000.00 deposited increases the customer’s chances of winning as the winning tickets are chosen by an electronic draw.

Giving testimonial on the promo, a man identified as Alhaji Moyo who won two million naira in the season 6 expressed  gladness for the bountiful reward given to him by the bank saying it still remains a surprise that he is now a millionaire. He however urged other customers and Nigerians as a whole to actively take part in the promo saying Diamond bank remain one of the banks that is known to keeping true to delivering its promise.

Head of National Lottery Regulation Commission, Lagos Zone, Mr.Calix Ita commended the bank for keeping to the rules guiding the promotion.

He said: ”From our own observation, we have conducted our monitoring process and we have realised that the promotion is free and fair to both the consumers and the operator”
