Arsenal’s playmaker Mesut Ozil has stepped up his rehabilitation as he continues his gym work ahead of his expected come back from injury.
Tweet: ” No, this is neither a red carpet nor a magic carpet, it is just the place where i am working for my comeback.”The 26 year old has been having daily gym sessions at Arsenal’s medical centre at London Colney. He has taken to social network site Twitter several times to reveal every step in his rehabilitation. With his left leg in what looks like a big brace, he again tweeted on Thursday about his daily session at the gym. When he showed the place where he is supposedly making his comeback from injury.

The German international picked up his knee ligament injury in the match against Chelsea in early October. The injury was assessed by the German national team in the last international break, where it was claimed at the time that he would be out for up to three months.
However, Arsene Wenger played down on the prognosis of the German national team, when he claimed that he would be guided by the recommendations of Arsenal’s medical team. His recovery period was later put at six weeks.
However, with the size of the brace on his leg, it is not yet clear whether he can make it back within the time frame that Arsene Wenger stated a couple of weeks ago.
The Frenchman had courted controversy when he claimed that Mesut Ozil complained of a pain in his knee during half time of the match against Chelsea. The manager stated at the time that he decided to leave the German playmaker because Arsenal needed a goal, and he was one of the players who could supply the pass that could lead to a goal. He left the choice to Ozil, that if he felt any more pain he should alert the bench for him to come off. He ended up playing the entire 90 minutes, and did more damage to his knee.
Although his form has been indifferent this season, with just a goal and an assist to his name in the league, his absence has been felt in the matches he has not played. Arsenal looked short of ideas against Hull City after going 2-1 down, and had less than impressive wins against Anderlecht and Sunderland, in a display that would not live much in the memory.
The German’s ability to keep the team ticking by the way he picks his passes, plus the fact that he is a team player means Arsenal have missed his contributions against sides who defend every deep.
Arsenal’s lack of creativity in the first two matches that Mesut Ozil missed could have accounted for why Arsene Wenger moved Alexis Sanchez to the middle behind Danny Welbeck in the match against Sunderland and the Chilean rewarded the manager with two goals. And with Alexis Sanchez’s attributes of being a hard worker, and the fact that he likes pressing the opposition from the front, he is expected to continue in that position for sometime, so as to fill the creative void left by the absence of Mesut Ozil.
While Mesut Ozil continues his comeback from injury, the mantle of creativity rest on other players, and not just Alexis Sanchez in the coming set of matches
