Famous US R&B singer Monica may have dumped her music career for a new one after spending nearly 20 years in the business.

“The Boy Is Mine” hit maker made the shocking announcement on her Instagram yesterday when she posted a photo of herself rocking hospital scrubs and gushing about her dream job.

She wrote:

"I have other dreams and aspirations so I Pursue them when my babies are asleep & my musics done!!,” she shared with her fans, pointing to the fact that she may be taking classes or moonlighting as a nurse. “Moral of the story #WeCanIfWeBelieve never give up on your dreams #YOUCAN #BeenAtWorkSince7yesterday #ThankGODforMyMomAndPa #ScrubsAndAMandatoryThermal #DatHawkBITIN LOL#UKnowItsColdWhenIGetThisPale LOL."

Despite her new interests, it doesn't appear as if she's giving up music altogether. Just days ago, she shared photos of herself learning to play the guitar in the recording studio.
