Sandhu named in Cricket Australia XI to face India

SYDNEY (AP) — New South Wales fast bowler Gurinder Sandhu has been named in a Cricket Australia XI to face India in a two-day match in Adelaide as part of the tourists' warmup for their four-test series against Australia.

Sandhu, born in Sydney to parents who emigrated from India, will spearhead the composite side's bowling attack in the match at the Glenelg Oval on Nov. 24-25. India will play two two-day warmup matches ahead of the test series starting Dec. 4.
Cricket Australia talent manager and former test captain Greg Chappell says the 21-year-old Sandhu has "performed consistently well at domestic level and underage international level."
The Cricket Australia XI will be captained by Ashton Turner, who led a similar side to a WINover South Africa in a Twenty20 match this season.
