Group rallies support for Yingi
Ahead of the 2015 general elections in Nigeria, the People Democratic Party (PDP) National Youth Rural Empowerment Advocacy Programme (REAP), Burutu local government chapter in Delta State has appealed to the people of the area and the PDP leadership to vote massively for Daniel Yingi for a second tenure.
The organsation expressed its support for Yingi in a communiqué issued at the end of its general meeting in Warri. The group, led by Comrade Afore Theodore and Okringo, urged people in Burutu North Constituency 1,to support Yingi to actualize his ambition to return to the Delta State House of Assembly for his second tenure come 2015.
Theodore said that Yingi has embarked on rebuilding Burutu local government to greater height in terms of provision of social amenities that cut across the six wards in the constituency.
According to him, “Yingi has embarked on infrastructure development, empowerment of youths and women, scholarship schemes for various students, giving assistance to the less privileged and paying medical bills for poor people”.
He noted that in line with his promise, he was able to extend developmental projects to the communities in his constituency, adding that his experience in party administration and legislative arm of government among others were assets to the PDP that must be deployed towards transforming Burutu local government area.
He enjoined the people of Burutu North Constituency 1 and PDP leadership in the state to rally round Yingi so that he continue to use his wealth of experience to better the lot of the people.
The group reaffirmed their support to ensure that Yingi secures victory in 2015.
