The Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Monday in Enugu took a swipe at the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisting that it had failed God and humanity in the past 16 years it has held sway in the country.
He also warned Ndigbo not to be deceived by the trickery of some leaders of the PDP, who brand President Goodluck Jonathan as Igbo, saying nothing could be farther from the truth.

Okorocha, who addressed an APC rally in Enugu, said a few Igbo personalities who are in the ruling party were merely picking crumbs from the table, while the people were being deceived that Ndigbo are enjoying the Jonathan presidency.
While making it clear that the ruling party had nothing to offer the Igbo nation in the near future, Okorocha said Igbo leaders who are in the PDP are in it for selfish interests.
He said Igbo is not in national protocol, not occupying any important position from presidency to vice-president, senate president, speaker of House of Representatives, chief Judge of the federation, Inspector-General of Police, Comptroller of Prisons, Comptroller of Immigration nor any service chief.
“PDP has failed God, for 16 years they have nothing to show. It is because of these marginalisation that we chose an alternative national party such as APC.
“In Imo there is free education, free meals, free school uniform etc.
“In 2015, if what PDP is doing well for the masses of this country let God return the party, but if not may God return APC for change.
“APC is an emergency party for new Nigeria. They are taking advantage of widespread poverty in the land, but Rochas Okorocha has come to the rescue, I will match them MONEY for money; if they come with pickup van filled with money, I will come with trailer truck filled with money,” he said.
Senator Chris Ngige said the  PDP has failed the Igbo because all federal roads leading to Igbo land are in deplorable state, including the Enugu-Port Harcourt, Enugu-Onitsha and Enugu-9th mile-Otukpo-Makurdi roads.
The highpoint of the rally was the presentation of two governorship candidates: Dr. Ifeanyi Asogwa and Mr. Okey Ezea as governorship candidates of the party in the state.
Earlier, the state chairman of APC, Dr. Ben Nwoye, said Enugu must witness change in 2015.
