Since the advent of democracy in Nigeria, we have seen a troubling shift away from traditional occupations such as agriculture and craftsmanship. Instead, the political elite have asserted dominance over the country’s natural resources, particularly crude oil, which has led to significant mismanagement and corruption. This has resulted in a myriad of socio-economic issues that plague the nation today.

Why salaries of some civil servants are delayed – FG

Federal Government yesterday debunked reports making round that salaries of civil servants have not been paid.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Paul Nwabuikwu, the Minister said the report was false and baseless, saying that salaries of most civil servant have been paid, while plans were on to ensure that the outstanding are paid before the year end.

Lagos gives 15% salary bonus to workers

The Lagos State Government will pay its workers 15 per cent bonus in the December salary as an end of the year gift, the State Head of Service, Mrs Oluseyi Williams, said on Friday.
Williams spoke at the end of the year get together and appreciation party for principals and directors in the Ministry of Education.
