De Gea: Man United is far from convincing

David De Gea believes Man United is “not that far away” from challenging at the top of the Premier League again.
United picked up another three points on Saturday by defeating Crystal Palace 1-0 at Old Trafford, pushing Louis van Gaal’s side up to seventh in the table.
And De Gea, who has been in fine form this season, says the 13-time Premier League champions is nearing a return to the upper echelons of English football.
He told the club’s official website: “In terms of the league table and the position we’re in we are not far away. All we can do is work hard and try to keep improving and it’s important that we completely concentrate on ourselves and not look too much at others.”
Van Gaal has made a point of highlighting the injury problems his side has faced this season with a number of first-team stars sidelined – currently Marcos Rojo and Radamel Falcao among others – and De Gea agrees that it has led to a difficult transition period under the Dutchman.
He added: “We would never use excuses but it’s always going to be a big setback when we have injuries and some sendings-off as well.

Pique weighing up Barcelona exit

Barcelona star Gerard Pique is considering his future at Camp Nou.
The 27-year-old has fallen out of favour with coach Luis Enrique of late and he is currently behind Javier Mascherano, Jeremy Mathieu and Marc Bartra in the pecking order.
And while the highly rated defender has refused to comment on the transfer speculation, El Mundo Deportivo has learned that Pique is seriously thinking about leaving the club.
Having retained his place in the Spain squad, the centre-back will have enough time during the international break to think long and hard about the new situation, and everything suggests that a January exit may be on the cards.
Premier League leaders Chelsea and his former club Manchester United are believed to be keen, while few more high-profile sides are likely to join the race as well.
Pique has enjoyed a lot of success since returning to Camp Nou, making 170 La Liga appearances and scoring 12 goals.

Jonathan’s declaration: Hundreds of commuters trek miles to work

Hundreds of commuters in Abuja were forced to cover long distances on foot as combatant soldiers, policemen and civil defence officers blocked strategic roads while carrying out stop and search activities both on motorists and passengers.
The exercise caused terrible traffic gridlock on most roads that lead residents into the city centre where President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 presidential declaration ceremony was held on Tuesday.
The Kubwa express road was not left out of the severe go-slow. Kubwa is one of the major areas occupied by many residents in the Federal Capital Territory.

Hallucinations and delusions are common among those affected by Lewy bodies dementia, and sufferers often struggle to identify friends and family. The disease also typically causes problems with attention and alertness.
'The condition itself is caused by the build-up of protein into clumps, called Lewy bodies, in the brain, which can damage nerve cells in areas involved in memory and thinking,' explained Hilary Evans, Director of External Affairs at Alzheimer’s Research UK.
